Hungarian club Pick Szeged finished seventh at VRILITTOS 2016 following their 23-21

victory over Vrlissia in the game for places 7/8. The Athenian club was always

trailing, but never stopped fighting in an attempt to overturn the losing situation.

Despite the obvious fatigue caused by playing six matches in four days Szeged

players hold off a final Greek surge and captured seventh place.

Prokich Sinisa: (Coach – Vrilissia): “It doesn’t really make a difference if you are

seventh or eighth, that’s why both teams were more relaxed and played good

handball in spite committing a number of errors. After watching my players in all

these games at VRILITTOS, I believe we have just started playing something which is

close to handball.”

Nagy Zoltan: (Coach – Pick Szeged): “I would like to express my gratitude to the

organisers of VRILITTOS for setting up this fantastic tournament. I can’t say I am

satisfied with my players today. Congratulations to Vrilissia players because they

showed fighting spirit and never surrendered.”
