Bosnia Herzegovina rallied past Romania to secure third place, and kept alive their slim hopes of finishing second providing that Austrian will lose with 16-goal margin by Croatia later today.

Romania was unstoppable in the beginning of the game, leading by six goals (9-3), but a 8-0 run by Bosnia Herzegovina reversed the scene. The Romanians never gave up and stayed in contention (20-20 in the 45th minute), before the Bosnians re-established a three-goal lead (26-23) to dash their opponents’ hopes.

Nebojsa Golic (Bosnia Herzegovina Coach): “I am glad we conclude our presence on a high note. Romania is a very good team, but we locked their weapons in attack when it mattered most. The tournament was brilliant. Thank you for everything. I hope we will see you again next year.”

Raduta Titel (Romania Coach): “We were competitive in the first half, but couldn’t defend the big lead we managed. Unfortunately our last effort to salvage at least a point was not successful.
