ZAGREB PARIS S. G. 32-9 (18-3)

Zagreb’s hammered Paris Saint Germain 32-9 in the last game of Day 3 of VRILITTOS 2016 to set a repeat of last year’s final against Novi Beograd. There can be no analysis of a game which was decided pretty soon and enabled both coached to use their second-choice players for most parts of the second semi-final. Zagreb is now aiming to lift the trophy for a second time and match Novi’s titles at VRILITTOS.

QUOTES

Nino Markovic (CoachZagreb): “It took no more than 30 minutes to realise that we will be one of the teams to play in the final, thus we fielded our second-choice team. Everybody in the team is excited and we are now looking forward to playing in the final.”

Medina Alexis Pierre (CoachParis S. G.): “It was impossible to beat them and thus I preferred to rest some of the players who felt exhausted after our victory over Olympiacos. Paris lost today to Zagreb here in Veroia but the men’s team guided by Nikola Karabatic beat Zagreb in the Champions League’s quarter-final.”
